The First Ward/Living Grace Food Pantry was created on February 2017 as an agency to serve the community members in Pine Bluff, Jefferson County by providing healthy nutritious meals to families. Created to fight hunger, First Ward Living Grace Food Pantry distributes donated and purchased foods through a network of Partner Agencies in Jefferson county.

Food insecurity refers to USDA’s measure of lack of access, at times, to enough food for an active, healthy life for all household members and limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods. Food-insecure households are not necessarily food insecure all the time.
